We conduct in-depth interviews with our partner candidates and the law firms and corporations that we represent. Our thorough recruitment procedures enable us to present a select person or firm for a select position with the highest degree of confidentiality. We begin by maintaining an extensive database of the highest achieving, most productive and profitable lawyers and firms in California. Hunter currently has the latest and most sophisticated software in the search industry.
There are three phases to the search process in which we continually invest time and money. Phase one is the ongoing identification of the top legal talent through the utilization of researchers and computer technology. This phase allows us to have pre-selected and pre-qualified attorneys and firms available quickly upon search requests from our client firms. The hidden aspects of this ongoing service often make our role seem easy. We act as a centrifuge to separate out and evaluate the top twenty percent (20%) of attorneys. We are hired by our clients to identify and attract those individuals who are outstanding.
The second phase of the search, during which we compare the candidate’s experience and aspirations with the client’s specifications and career opportunities, is also an ongoing process. Our consultants are in daily contact with the elite of the legal community, establishing relationships while evaluating and updating their credentials and aspirations.
However, it is the third phase of our service that emphasizes our expertise. This crucial phase consists of maintaining timely and open communication between all parties during the hiring and merging process. Clients that understand the value of the consultant’s role in this communication know how to attract the best talent and get the deal done with the greatest confidentiality. Without the appropriate expertise and professional relationships, many candidates and mergers are lost during this phase.
